Sassa R350 December Payments Dates
“Payments (for clients who are approved for the month of December 2023) will be processed from 18-22 December 2023” Sassa said.
Payments for R350 grant for December are being processed early. This month, from December 18th to December 22nd, people will receive their SRD grant payments. This money received from the South African Government is usually given to the recipients at the end of each month. This is because the government needs to check and make sure that the people who are supposed to get the money are the right ones.
Even though the money is supposed to be given between certain dates, sometimes it takes a few more days for the money to actually show up in their bank account. It will take 2 to 3 days for the money to show up in the person’s bank account after Sassa made the payment.
How Can You Get Paid Your R350?
If you are getting money from the SRD Grant, you can decide if you want it to go into your bank account. This means you can use the money right away. If you don’t have a bank account, you can use Cashsend to get your SRD grant money. You can use a special number and your phone number to get your grant money. But you need to have a phone with a registered number and show your ID to use this way of getting money.
You may also access your payments at different retailers across the country to get their money. Some of these shops are Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer.
When Are Grants Normally Paid?
Normally, people get their SRD grant money at the end of the month. But in December 2023, it will be given earlier. This is because there are two holidays in the last week of December, and the government doesn’t give out money on holidays or weekends. So they decided to give it out earlier to make sure people get their money on time.
Grant Rejection and Appeals
Sassa wants to help people who applied for a special grant called SRD. They want to make sure that the grant gets paid to the right people. So, they ask the people who applied to check if their application was successful. If it wasn’t, they could lodge an appeal though the Independent Tribunal For Social Assistance Appeals to look at their application again and maybe change their decision.
Eligibility for The Grant
To be able to get the SRD grant in South Africa, you have to meet some rules. You have to be a citizen or live in South Africa or have a special permit. Also, you shouldn’t be getting help from the government with money or for education. And your bank account can’t have more than R624 in it to get the R350 grant.
Monthly Info Review
Sassa works with the Department of Home Affairs to make sure people are who they say they are and that they are rightful citizens. They also share information with the Department of Treasury to check how much money people make. Once they are sure someone is eligible, they approve them for money at the end of the month. This process is important for giving out grants.
When is The SRD Grant Ending?
As per the current SRD Grant extension, the grant will end in 2025. This grant is there to assist in reducing the level of poverty in the country.
