First National Bank (FNB) is offering a 12-month learnership opportunity for unemployed South African youth across the country. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 34, have little to no work experience, and are eager to build your career in the banking sector, this opportunity could be the stepping stone you need.

What is the FNB Learnership Programme?
This FNB learnership is designed to give young South Africans on-the-job work experience while also completing a recognised training programme. Over the course of 12 months, learners will be placed in various FNB departments and gain both practical skills and industry exposure.
The programme is part of FNB’s commitment to youth development and economic inclusion, and it’s aimed at enhancing the employability of young people with limited job experience.

What FNB Is Looking For:
FNB is seeking motivated, energetic, and driven young individuals who are proactive, resilient, and eager to learn. Candidates must demonstrate:
- A passion for customer service and sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong willingness to grow within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Minimum Requirements:
To be eligible for the FNB Learnership, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens aged 18 to 34
- Have a minimum of a matric certificate (post-matric qualifications such as NQF 5 and 6 are accepted)
- Be unemployed for at least the past 6 months
- Not currently be studying
- Have less than 12 months of total work experience (casual or part-time work included)
- Have never worked for FirstRand or participated in its FirstJob programme
- Be fluent in English and able to communicate professionally
- Have no criminal record and not be blacklisted
- Be willing to commit to both the learnership training and work experience simultaneously
